Filming, Poetry, and Publishing in July and August

Ben takes over updates

Hi! Before we get to notes from summer, I wanted to acknowledge the change to my updates here on the site. I’ll (Ben, it’s me!) be taking over so I have a better chance to connect and talk about upcoming projects.

Flash Fiction in Peatsmoke Journal this Fall

This Fall you’ll be able to find a new flash fiction piece of mine in Peatsmoke Journal.

Peatsmoke was created by Wendy Wallace and Bess Cooley and has been recognized more than once by Best Small & Micro Fictions.

Look for There Was a Killing in It in the fall issue.

Caffe Aroma Poetry Night in June & July

The Caffe Aroma Poetry Night Open Mic closed out June and July with five total events, adding an extra night for The Buffalo Infringement Festival.

Catch us back on our normal scheduling starting this week, with the next mic on August 21st.

Line of Sight Film nears End of Shooting

Learn more about the film at www.lineofsightfilm.com

In 2023, I joined a team at Expressed Entertainment to participate in the 48 Hour Film Festival. We got such a positive response to our seven minute film that moving into 2024, we teamed up again and expanded the story into a feature-length script.

Filming is almost complete and Expressed Entertainment is currently fundraising to build the final set piece before moving into post-production.

If you’re interested in helping a local film company complete a feature length project in Buffalo, you can send support here.

Coming Up

In my next update I’ll be diving into The Red Wallpaper, an upcoming immersive halloween theatre experience I’m helping produce at Statler Buffalo.
